Personal Background

Elena was born in a small country but was destined for a big dream. Her dream was America! Determination brought her to the USA in 1983 after leaving her home town in Europe by swimming a river to find her freedom.

Elena resides in Troy and has been an Oakland County resident since 1997. Before becoming a Realtor in addition to working for FlagStar Bank as a loan officer, she worked in the skin care industry. Multiple times she was voted " Best Facialist of Oakland Country" and " Best of Detroit".

When time permits, traveling and learning about different cultures are always on the top of Elena's list. She is involved in her community and helps elderly as much as possible. She has strong sense of responsibility and high standard of excellence. Competitive spirit with an imperative for success. The Ojibwa, the Ottawa, The Potawatomi, and other Algonquian - speaking native American groups were living in Michigan when the first explorer Etienne Brule landed at the narrow of Sault Ste. Marie in 1618, probably the first European to have reached present Michigan. Land of Michigan covers 58,216 sq miles with the highest pt. Mt Curwood at 1,980 Ft and with the lowest pt. at Lake Erie at 572 Ft. Michigan is the upper midwest state of United States. Statehood Jan 26, 1837 - Michigan is the 26th state in the union. Michigan constitution was adopted in 1963. Long before Lansing became Michigan's capital city, the region was unsettled, full of dense forest and abundant wildlife. In the winter of 1835, two brothers from Lansing, New York plotted the area just south of downtown Lansing naming the territory" Biddle Town"
The city was renamed Lansing, after John Lansing, a New York patriot and one of the official delegates to the Constitutional Convention. In the winter of 1847 the state constitution required that the capital be moved from Detroit to more centralized location in the interior of the state. Lansing becomes the capital of the Michigan. The first house built in Lansing was the house of pioneer James Seymour and his family. Lower Town began to develop in 1847 with the completion of the Franklin Ave - now Grand River Ave. In 1859 Lansing is officially incorporated with about 3,000 citizens inside of 7.5 Sq miles. Today Lansing covers 33 Sq miles.
